Meet Our Vehicle Condition Inspector: Jeff EnnisFebruary 12, 2018
Jeff is a VCI based in Syracuse, NY. He has been immersed in the automotive world since childhood, where he started a small business detailing neighborhood vehicles. When he’s not working on cars, he can be found on the water, hosting his radio show, and riding his Harley.
Where did you grow up?
What you were doing prior ACV?
I was a project manager for a large metal finishing house for military, aerospace, and medical industries. I worked on tight tolerance machine parts applying electroplating to anodize, gold, silver, electroless nickel, copper, chrome, etc.
What drove you to join the auto remarketing industry?
I have always loved cars. I jump at any opportunity that puts me behind the wheel.
What’s your dream car?
1969 Plymouth Road Runner
What do you do outside of work?
I work part-time as a radio personality on 95X, an alternative rock station in Syracuse, NY. I enjoy wakeboarding and riding my motorcycle in the summer. Bonfires, BBQ, and beer sound good too.
Can you tell me a little more about your automotive detailing business?
It’s a small business I started as a kid detailing neighborhood cars. It's just grown over the years.
You mentioned you work on cars, boats, and bikes in your spare time. What are you currently working on?
Right now, I have a 1970 Mercury Cougar XR7 convertible, 1931 Ford Hot Rod, and a 1953 Pontiac Chieftain I am working on with my stepdad. The hot rod is going through a full restoration. I’m also upgrading my Street Glide with exhaust, tuner, and new LED lights.
Do you have a favorite moment or experience riding your Harley?
I organized a group ride last year with 12 other bikers. We rode 350 miles in one day around the Adirondacks.
